About Meg

Nothing changes, if nothing changes." It may sound silly, simple, or even counterintuitive, but too often we find ourselves stuck in patterns and cycles that make us feel like we have no control over our lives. However, by embracing small steps of change, it is possible to achieve the lifestyle and well-being you are seeking.

I am passionate about working with teenagers and supporting them through a crucial stage of development. Working full-time as a high school counselor, I have a front-row seat to the trials, challenges, and trends occurring in the lives of teens and I use that knowledge to inform my practice. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I use solution-focused approaches to help clients find practical and effective ways to create sustainable changes in their lifes.

Trained in evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy (NT), my practice style helps clients explore their identity from multiple perspectives, as well as examine environments, relationships, and behavioral patterns to identify opportunities for growth. I believe life is more enjoyable when we think creatively; therefore, I often use art-based practices, lots of analogies, and games in my work with clients. I find these approaches help therapy not feel so “heavy” for teens, too!

I am in constant awe of the resiliency of teens and adolescents. It is a pleasure to walk alongside them as they explore new methods of coping, communicating, and ultimately, watching them grow into the version of themselves that they are destined to become!
